A Note From FIXE in Spain

The installation of fixed anchors either for personal or collective use implies a strong responsibility and something in which you should take only if you have the suitable experience and a deep technical understanding.   Should you use our anchoring systems, you become sole person responsible for learning how to put into practice the appropriate climbing techniques, as well as taking the risk for any damage, injury or even death which may be caused from the improper use of our equipment.

This brochure does not go entirely into the detail as far as all fixing techniques are concerned, and is just to be taken as a pure informative reference.   When moving onto natural rock, fixed anchors are not always the only way to set up a safe route.

The route setter not only is to consider all possible alternatives but should also respect the rock, as well as the configuration and the essence of the climbing area. Vertical sports are potentially dangerous, and an adequate use of our products is essential by a deep and thorough understanding and apprenticeship.

You at FIXE: According to our customer’s needs, all possible suggestions are well appreciated to constantly achieve a better adaptability on our FIXE materials. Your ideas will always be carefully observed and analyzed through our technical department.

Modifications: We reserve the right to modify any product appearing in this catalogue without a previous warning.

The practice of sports on a vertical environment has experienced a remarkable increase during recent years. From being marginal activities carried out by minority groups they have become more and more popular and well… world-wide. Probably, the most positive aspect of this development is reflected on the spectacular improvement of the safety materials essential to undertake all vertical practices.

We feel that our contribution to this evolution is considerable. Collective protection equipments (CPE) (i.e. fixed anchor systems) have always been our obsession and they have drawn us to research, design and invest with the aim of achieving reliable products in which achieve the highest quality standards. Unlike individual protection equipment, CPE are rarely inspected nor receive adequate maintenance when placed outdoors. They constitute collective installations that in most cases, no one is responsible for, as far as the vertical community is concerned.

Undoubted, the most negative aspect of the massive and localized practice of these sports is the impact on our natural and social environment. Our outdoor activity maybe limited very seriously if we don't find a solution to problems like waste, degradation of the flora, fauna and soil, as well as access problems, lack of ethics and careless behaviors.

For these reasons, we really believe that each one of us should commit him/herself to a more sensible and rational use of our environment.

Our experience of more than 15 years manufacturing anchoring systems has enabled us to achieve high quality products that are fully reliable. Careful testing and strict quality control is our key basis to obtain such excellent results and to detect any fault that might occur.  Our initial specialization in anchoring systems has moved into a position were we are constantly incorporating new and different products, which take benefit from our experience in manufacturing safety elements.

We have all the necessary test facilities to measure the resistance of the materials in our workshop, the scores obtained are regularly compared with those supplied by official laboratories thus reaching a perfect precision.

Quality is not only reflected in our products but also in our service.
